Highlights

• Beginning at dawn, your guide takes you up from your Nile cruise or Luxor hotel for a 5-hour tour. To go to the Ramesseum, you'll first visit the Theban Necropolis.
• On the walls are exquisite reliefs portraying scenes from the Battle of Kadesh, Syrian Wars, and the Festival of Amon Min, in addition to a statue. As you go on, you'll come upon the Habu Temple, which was erected by Ramses III (1550-1080 BC), Egypt's final ruler of the New Kingdom. The best-preserved New Kingdom memorial temple, it is adorned with military images as well as texts recounting Ramses III's triumphs as well as his rites and festivals. Also in the courtyard is a royal palace, while priests' quarters and administrative buildings may be found on each side of the temple.
