Read more we set sail, the views were breathtaking, lush riverbanks, ancient temples, and beautiful golden sunsets, not to mention the birdlife. We spotted kingfishers and falcons as well as lots of other birds. Michael’s wealth of knowledge brought every temple and sight we visited to life; his storytelling was engaging, informative, and full of passion for his subject. He balanced history with a touch of humour, making the tour both educational and great fun. He also organised a wonderful hot-air balloon ride for us in Luxor which was breathtaking. A side trip to the botanical gardens was added in to our schedule at my request it and was definitely worth a stop. The boat itself was comfortable and well-organised, and the warm and wonderful and helpful staff added to the relaxed atmosphere. Every detail felt seamless and thoughtfully planned. I would highly recommend this journey to anyone seeking a deeper, more meaningful connection with Egypt’s timeless beauty and wonder. We will definitely return . We initially... Read more considered a fully packaged trip with flights, cruise, and transfers included, but ultimately decided we wanted more flexibility. Egypt Trippers were incredibly accommodating; offering multiple tailored options and allowing us to choose our own boat. We settled on the Alyssa, and it was an excellent choice; a beautiful vessel with a truly wonderful crew. Every member of staff was attentive, warm, and genuinely helpful throughout.

We also travelled shortly after tensions began with the Iran conflict, and Egypt Trippers were fantastic in keeping us informed. They provided clear, balanced local advice and flexible options should we have wished to delay. In the end, we felt completely safe; and are so glad we went ahead with the trip.

But the highlight of our journey was, without question, our guide, Michael Edwards. His knowledge, experience, humour, and storytelling ability are simply exceptional. He brought Egypt’s history vividly to life and went above and beyond to ensure every moment of our trip ran smoothly. What could have been “just” a sightseeing tour became something truly memorable and meaningful because of him.

We wanted to spend 2 nights in Cairo and a Nile cruise for 3 nights. ET offered the best-fit Nile cruise for us in terms of places to visit, prices and timing. Then, due to previous smooth communication, we decided to ask ET to arrange the 2 days Cairo trip too. Trip booking and payments are all smooth. Closer to our arrival, ET informed that our cruise ship is upgraded. We were initially skeptical. Later when we can see and compare the other ship, then we can really appreciated the upgrade. Thank you very much ET!
In all the trip, we were picked up and transported using good & clean cars.
Second, about our tour guide, Mohammed. He is very professional and passionate in explaining the historical highlight to almost all sites we visited. He is also keen to always ask our situation and willing to help if we have problem. We had a problem of missing one of important identity card, and he made all effort to the ship management and finally able to find it.
Overall, we had a good experience. Few low-lights we have was with our guide in Cairo, bit difficult to understand her English and punctuality. Also the selection of the tombs in the valley of the kings which was just not to my high-liking.

Go to Egypt with Egypt Trippers!  - I took a solo trip to Egypt for two weeks, and Egypt Trippers helped me every step of the way. I enjoyed tours of Islamic Cairo, Coptic Cairo, the old... Read more markets, lunch at lovely Zeeyara, the unbelievably magnificent Pyramids of Giza and Saqqara, as well as a very comfortable Nile cruise on the MS Mayfair, and tours of the East and West Banks of Luxor (including the workers’ tombs which are fascinating) and also the light show at Karnak, a hot-air balloon ride over the West Bank, tours of Luxor and Karnak temples in daytime, and the Valley of the Kings, including Tut’s tomb!). Further south, I toured Abu Simbel and beautiful Aswan. (Egypt Trippers helped me avoid the usually very early wake-up calls for Abu Simbel by booking me a flight there (from Aswan) and a drive back. Abu Simbel is incredible! Also, in Giza, I toured the extraordinary new Grand Egyptian Museum (not to be missed!). I had excellent guides and drivers (as well as airport transfers and help) arranged by Egypt Trippers the entire time. The trip was the experience of a lifetime, and I am grateful to Egypt Trippers for making the vacation so seamless and special. If you have an itinerary in mind, Egypt Trippers will help it become a reality, and they’ll make suggestions to make it even better. They’re very communicative and responsive before and during your trip. I’d never been to Egypt before, and they made me feel very comfortable the whole time. I highly recommend them!
