The Nile River Valley ( In The Valley Of The Kings)
The Valley of the Kings is an Egyptian royal burial ground and archaeological site located on the west bank of Luxor.
The area contains a staggering amount of exquisitely decorated tombs from Ancient Egypt’s kings, including Tutankhamun – whose tomb was discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter after years spent trying to find it.
The stunning valley continues to fascinate visitors today as they explore its intricately designed walls which are filled with hieroglyphs detailing vast amounts about life during ancient times such as their gods, beliefs, and family lineage.
Sharm El Sheikh
Sharm El Sheikh is one of the best destinations in Egypt because it features stunningly beautiful mountains. The various shades of brown, red, and yellow that these mountains turn throughout their different seasons will leave you breathless!
The Red Sea gives this small town a great advantage over other towns which are not located on the seashore. Another reason for Sharm’s popularity among tourists all around the world is its nice weather during most months of the year.

A perfect base for hikers, Al-Milga is a small village near Saint Catherine’s Monastery. It has some attractive hotels and hostels with simple restaurants if you want to explore the Sinai desert mountains nearby.
The Luxor Temple
This temple is not dedicated to one particular god or pharaoh; instead, it may have been where kings were crowned. Built between 1400 BC by Amenophis III and Ramesses II, the construction lasted 40 years for completion!
The Luxor Temple is a masterpiece of ancient architecture that resides in the heart of modern Cairo’s downtown district.
Cairo Museum
The Egyptian Museum in Cairo is considered as one of the world’s best museums. It has an absolutely astonishing collection that would take you a lifetime to see it all!
The museum was created by French Egyptologist August Mariette and moved into its current home – which looks like pink frosting on top of a cake.
The treasures displayed at The Cairo Museum were all found in the tomb of Tutankhamun, who died at 18. The largest and richest assemblage was ever found intact as well as these treasures to be discovered by Howard Carter in 1922 at The Valley of Kings.
The best of the Egyptian collection are Tutankhamun’s death mask and sarcophagi (Room 3), his pharaoh lion throne (Room 35), as well as his wardrobe (Room 9) that is fascinating to look at.
A must-see after this would be a walk through an incredible jewelry collection in Room 4, which contains more bling than anyone could imagine seeing again for their lifetime.
In April 2020, the Egyptian Museum’s Royal Mummies Collection was moved to a new museum in Cairo.
This decision is part of an effort by authorities to spread Egypt’s Pharaonic riches between all four of the country’s major museums:
- The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM): which will house artifacts from King Tutankhamun and other important figures;
- NMEC: where these mummies are now located;
- Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy for Conservation Sciences: at Giza Plateau-North Sinai Governorate Archaeological Site Complexes Region South West Coast that houses ancient animal remains such as hippos or crocodiles preserved through mummification techniques during Ancient times
- The National Military Museums: near Tahrir Square downtown also have thousands more.
The Egyptian Museum sits just a few steps away from the central square of Cairo. The easiest way to find it is by taking the metro and getting off at Sadat station, which will be located on Tahrir Square itself.
